ADA a self-forming, visitor-activated artwork

Named after Ada Lovelace — the 19th-century mathematician credited with writing the first computer program and envisioning a machine capable of generating art — ADA is a self-forming, visitor-activated artwork. A helium-filled PVC sphere, transparent and membrane-like, floats freely in the space. Its surface is spiked with charcoal sticks that leave marks on the walls, ceiling, and floor as the globe moves.

Set in motion by visitors, it generates an open-source composition of lines and points — incalculable in their intensity, unpredictable in their expression. Like a computer producing unforeseen output from a given command, ADA transforms movement into drawing. The result is unmistakably human: the only method for decoding its marks is association — the same logic the brain follows when it dreams.
